Ham Radio Communication

President C. Todd Linton: Todd Linton has enjoyed a lifelong career as a pilot. He flew the C-130 Hercules, a tactical airlift plane known for its ability to airdrop equipment and paratroopers behind enemy lines. He flew more than 500 combat hours. He was grateful the Lord kept him safe, even while taking off and landing from riverbeds and fields deep within enemy territory during his years of service with the United States Air Force. While attending BYU and participating in the AFROTC program, he met and married his wife, Chalon. Chalon’s grandfather had a distinguished career as a fighter pilot and encouraged Linton to pursue his dream of becoming one as well. Once I “landed” on good terms with him, the whole family fell in line to support. Now, some 25 years after starting his Air Force career, President Linton is a retired Colonel in the USAF and is the director of military relations and chaplain services for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City. He was recently called to serve as the second counselor in the Holbrook Farms Stake.

Elder S. Michael Stanford: Elder S. Michael Stanford works with the Emergency Response Communication system at Church Headquarters and is involved in helping Church Units worldwide in establishing emergency radio and satellite communication systems, local radio networks, and other emergency communication capabilities. Elder Stanford has been involved in emergency preparedness/planning and response for over 35 years. He loves working with many wonderful individuals throughout the world.
